What I hope to achieve
My aim is that all children behave in a manner that is socially acceptable, this means that children should be able to……
* Treat other children and adults with respect
* Speak politely to others
* Treat toys and property with care and respect
What you can expect from me
Children lead by example I will teach children how to behave by…..
* Treating all adults and children with respect
* Speaking politely to others
* Praising children’s efforts and achievements as often as possible
* Praising children to their parents
* Using positive language
* Never smacking, shaking, biting, frightening or humiliating a child
What is unacceptable?
I will not accept from either adults or children….
* Use of rude and derogatory language
* Hitting, biting or other physical responses
* Racist or sexist remarks
If such behaviour occurs
* I will tell the child that it is wrong and explain what they should have said or done
*If the behaviour is repeated the child will be reminded once more
*If the behaviour continues the child will be removed from the activity and taken for time out to give them time to reflect on the situation
* If it continues steps will be taken to find a cause for the child’s behaviour.
This policy is to ensure the safety and social acceptance of all our children. If at any time you feel you need to complain then please speak to me or follow the procedure on your complaints and compliments letter from Ofsted which you will find in your Welcome pack.
